Biografia:

Liderada pelo cantor e guitarrista Shane Faubert, a Cheepskates foi uma peça importante no cenário do rock garageiro revivalista dos anos 80, na Costa Oeste americana. 

A banda lançou dois discos com seu primeiro lineup, um quarteto que se concentrou mais na sonoridade retrô. Em 1987, Faubert estava pronto para novos rumos e o grupo ficou reduzido a um trio power pop, que gravou os álbuns "Remember" e "It Wings Above". Depois de um disco registrado ao vivo e um EP de covers, a banda retornou ao estúdio pela última vez para gravar "Confessional", lançado em 1990, que se mostrou decepcionante, tanto para os ouvintes quanto para o próprio grupo, levando-o à dissolução. Um álbum póstumo, composto por canções da banda Residents, chegou às lojas em 1992, e Faubert permaneceu no mesmo gênero musical em sua carreira solo (Bradley Torreano, AllMusic; tradução livre do inglês).

Biografia:

A banda norueguesa Anti-Depressive Delivery foi constituída em 2002 por Terje Myhre Kråbøl e Christian Broholt. Depois de tocar com várias bandas metaleiras da Noruega, a dupla decidiu adotar uma sonoridade mais afinada com os grandes grupos de rock progressivo dos anos 70.

Após algumas demos, a ADD lançou o álbum "Feel. Melt. Release. Escape" pela gravadora Laser's Edge Records, em setembro de 2004. Identificado com o rock progressivo clássico e a agressividade crua e moderna, o disco recebeu boas críticas mundiais.

Em 2006 a banda rompeu com a gravadora Laser's Edge e então se dissolveu, mas voltou reformulada logo depois. No encerramento de 2006, começou a gravação de um novo álbum. A música do grupo agora estava mais engrandecedora, e vinha temperada com influências do jazz-rock antigo. Biografia:

Depois que deixou a banda Fastway, o cantor Dave King recebeu um telefonema de David Geffen e John Kalodner (nota minha: executivos da gravadora Geffen Records), em 1990, convidando-o para formar um novo supergrupo nos Estados Unidos. 

Então, na companhia do guitarrista Mandy Meyer (Krokus, Cobra, Asia), do baixista Cain Carruthers (The Untouchables) e do baterista Mike Alonso (The Meanis), King formou a banda Katmandü, que rapidamente começou a gravar seu primeiro disco. O álbum, homônimo, foi produzido por John Purdell e lançado em 1991 pela gravadora Sony Music. Continha doze canções bem executadas e conseguiu emplacar alguns pequenos hits. Dois singles foram extraídos do disco: "The Way You Make Me Feel" e "When The Rain Comes". Biografia:

A biografia de Doyle Bramhall II, que segue, em tradução livre do inglês, foi extraída do site Oldies, que, por sua vez, cita, como fonte primária do texto, a Encyclopedia Of Popular Music, de Colin Larkin (sob licença da editora Muze).

Doyle Bramhall II nasceu no dia 24 de dezembro de 1968, em Austin, Texas, EUA. Seu pai, Doyle Bramhall, tocou bateria com várias bandas, incluindo a Texas Storm, que coliderou ao lado de Jimmie Vaughan. Preferindo a guitarra, Doyle júnior seguiu os passos do pai no mundo bluseiro, excursionando com a Fabulous Thunderbirds, de Vaughan. No final de 1990, ele formou a banda de rock Arc Angels, com o amigo guitarrista Charlie Sexton, e completada pelo baixista Tommy Shannon e o baterista Chris Layton, ambos ex-músicos de Stevie Ray Vaughan. A banda terminou em outubro de 1993, e após um tratamento de desintoxicação por consumo de drogas, Bramhall retomou sua carreira, criando a Mighty Zor, com Shannon e Layton (e, esporadicamente, Sexton).

Em meados dos anos 90, Bramhall lançou seu primeiro disco solo e logo depois foi requisitado para trabalhar com os luminares roqueiros Roger Water e Eric Clapton, em turnês e gravações. 

Clapton usou duas canções de Bramhall, "Marry You" e "I Wanna Be", no seu disco "Riding With The King", gravado em parceria com B.B. King. "Superman Inside", composta por Bramhall em coautoria com Susannah Melvoin, sua mulher, foi gravada por Clapton no álbum "Reptile", lançado no ano seguinte. Bramhall também capitaneou a Smokestack, que contava com a vocalista Melvoin, o tecladista Benmont Tench, o guitarrista Craig Ross, o baixista Chris Bruce e o baterista J.J. Johnson.

Bramhall tem merecido o respeito dos seus colegas por seu trabalho como músico profissional e compositor. Entre os artistas com quem ele se apresentou – e eventualmente colaborou em gravações –, citam-se: seu pai, C.C. Adcock, Sheryl Crow, Bettye Lavette, Lisa Marie Presley e Susan Tedeschi.
