Biografia:
A Brought Low, do Brooklyn, Nova Iorque, NY, EUA, formou-se em 1999 e originalmente abrigava os músicos Benjamin Howard Smith (cantor e guitarrista), Dean Rispler (baixista) e Nick Heller (baterista).
O trio gravou seu primeiro disco, homônimo, em 2001 (lançado pela Tee Pee Records), esculpindo um hard rock setentista, ricamente inspirado nas tradições americana e britânica; a banda então perde Rispler e dá as boas-vindas, em 2003, ao novo baixista Robert Russell. Outros três anos se passariam, no entanto, antes que a Brought Low editasse seu segundo álbum, sarcasticamente chamado "Right On Time", com fortes influências bluseiras, que proporcionou o incremento das turnês. Depois, em 2010, o terceiro disco, apropriadamente intitulado "Third Record", surgiu através da Small Stone (que também lançou o álbum anterior), desta vez exibindo uma certa obsessão pelo southern rock em meio ao consistente rock pesado primitivo (Eduardo Rivadavia, AllMusic; tradução livre do inglês).
